Do I need a visa to Iceland as an American?

No, Americans don’t need a visa for short visits under 90 days. Iceland is part of the Schengen Zone, so your time there counts toward the 90 days allowed across all Schengen countries. Just bring a valid passport with at least three months beyond your planned stay. ETIAS will be required starting in 2026.
