Do I need a visa to Latvia as an American?

No, Americans don’t need a visa for Latvia for up to 90 days in a 180-day period. Latvia is part of the Schengen Zone, so your time there counts toward the overall Schengen limit. Your passport must be valid for at least three months past your departure. Starting in 2026, Americans will also need to register with ETIAS before travel.
