Gold Surges Beyond $3,500—Safe Haven Demand Tops the Charts

Gold prices blasted through the $3,500 per ounce benchmark today, breaking new all-time records amid renewed market unease. Safe-haven demand intensified with growing uncertainty over economic policy and dovish speculation around the Federal Reserve’s rate moves. Silver followed suit, soaring above $40 per ounce for the first time since 2011, reflecting both safe-haven and industrial interest. ETF buy-in spiked, driving London inventories lower and pushing lease rates higher. As equity markets wobbled, precious metals offered much-needed refuge for jittery investors.
