What currency is used in Djibouti?

Djibouti’s currency is the Djiboutian franc, written as DJF. It’s pegged to the U.S. dollar, keeping it relatively stable. The bills feature local leaders, historical sites, and cultural symbols. Cash is the main way people pay, especially in markets and smaller towns. Credit cards are accepted in some hotels and international businesses. ATMs are mostly found in the capital, Djibouti City. The franc reflects Djibouti’s small but strategic economy in the Horn of Africa.
