Finland uses the euro, written as EUR. It adopted the euro in 2002, replacing the Finnish markka. Cash and cards are both widely accepted, and digital payments are extremely common. Finnish euro coins feature national symbols, such as the heraldic lion and traditional motifs. The euro makes travel across the Eurozone seamless. ATMs are everywhere, and banks handle foreign currencies easily. The euro helps Finland stay integrated with Europe’s strong and stable economy.
