The capital of Kiribati is Tarawa. It’s a low-lying atoll in the central Pacific Ocean made up of small coral islands connected by causeways. South Tarawa serves as the main center of government and population. Life here moves slowly, surrounded by turquoise waters and palm trees. The weather is hot and humid, with frequent ocean breezes. Locals live closely with nature, fishing and farming coconuts and breadfruit. Tarawa offers a glimpse into simple island life, shaped by the sea and tradition.
