Bahrain’s population is around 1.5 million people. It’s a densely populated island nation with a large number of foreign workers, who make up more than half of the residents. Most people live in and around Manama, the capital, where business, finance, and industry are centered. Bahrain’s population has grown quickly over the past few decades due to economic expansion and immigration. The local Bahraini population is smaller but enjoys strong social benefits and public services. With its mix of cultures, Bahrain feels both modern and deeply traditional. Overall, it’s a small but fast-growing Gulf nation with a global workforce.
