Nauru has a population of about 10,000 people. It’s one of the smallest countries on Earth, both in size and population. Most residents live along the coastal ring of the island. Population growth is slow, with some decline due to migration and limited land space. Families and community life play a big role in everyday life. The economy and population depend heavily on government work and foreign aid. Overall, Nauru has a tiny, close-knit, and slowly changing population.
