Serbia has a population of about 6.6 million people. Most Serbians live in cities like Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš. The population has been slowly declining due to low birth rates and emigration. Serbia’s population is well-educated, with strong cultural and historical roots in the Balkans. Urban areas continue to grow while many rural regions face depopulation. The country has also seen an increase in return migration and regional integration. Overall, Serbia has a moderately sized, aging, and culturally rich population.
