The population is very young, with one of the highest birth rates in Africa. Urbanization is increasing as people move from rural and nomadic lifestyles. Despite challenges, Somalia’s population continues to grow rapidly. The majority of people share a common language, culture, and religion. Overall, Somalia has a young, fast-growing, and resilient population.
