Vietnam has a population of about 101 million people. Most Vietnamese live in the Red River Delta and Mekong Delta regions, as well as cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The population is young, though growth has slowed due to declining birth rates. Urbanization is rising as people move to cities for education and jobs. The population is largely ethnically Vietnamese, with small minority groups like the Hmong and Khmer. Agriculture, industry, and services drive the economy and shape settlement patterns. Overall, Vietnam has a large, youthful, and steadily growing population.
