Georgia is one of the safer countries to visit in the Caucasus region. Violent crime is rare, and petty theft is uncommon in most tourist areas. Cities like Tbilisi and Batumi are generally safe for walking at any time of day. Border areas with Abkhazia and South Ossetia should be avoided due to political tensions. Roads are decent, though rural routes can be tricky. Locals are extremely friendly and welcoming to visitors. Overall, Georgia is a safe and beautiful country to explore with normal precautions.
