Bahrain is moderately expensive, but it offers a comfortable lifestyle. Groceries and local food are reasonably priced, but imported goods cost more. Rent varies, with higher prices in Manama, the capital. Utilities and internet are affordable. Public transportation is cheap, but many people prefer private cars. Health care is good but can be costly if private care is used. Overall, Bahrain is manageable for living with a mid-range budget, especially for expatriates.
