Tanzania is generally safe and very popular with tourists for safaris and beaches. Most visits go smoothly, though petty theft and scams can occur in big cities like Dar es Salaam. Violent crime is uncommon but it’s best to avoid walking alone after dark. Tourist areas like Zanzibar and Arusha are well-patrolled and welcoming. Health risks like malaria exist, so precautions are wise. Roads and public transport can be hectic but manageable with care. Overall, Tanzania is a friendly and fairly safe country to visit with common-sense caution.
