Guinea-Bissau is one of the cheaper countries to live in. Groceries and local produce are inexpensive, especially outside the capital. Rent is very affordable, though housing standards vary widely. Utilities and internet can be inconsistent and occasionally costly. Imported goods are expensive due to limited supply. Health care is basic and private clinics add extra cost. Overall, the country is low-cost but comes with limited modern amenities.
