After leaving office, Coolidge returned to a quieter life in Massachusetts. He wrote articles, published his autobiography, and stayed involved in Republican politics without taking a major role. He preferred staying out of public drama and kept living simply, just as he always had. Coolidge didn’t seek big business jobs or flashy opportunities, unlike some former presidents. He continued giving speeches but avoided criticizing his successors too loudly. His health slowly declined, and he passed away in 1933. Many people remember Coolidge’s post-presidency as calm and humble, fitting his lifelong personality.
