Reagan went to Eureka College in Illinois, where he studied economics and sociology. He wasn’t a superstar student, but he was involved in tons of activities, from sports to student leadership. Reagan learned how to speak confidently and connect with people during his college years. He also worked part-time jobs to afford school, which taught him responsibility. College opened the door to his first career in radio broadcasting. That eventually led him to Hollywood and then to politics. His education gave him a mix of practical and social skills he used throughout life.
