Cool facts about Charles Darwin

He originally trained to become a doctor but couldn’t stand seeing surgery.
Darwin waited more than 20 years to publish his big theory because he feared backlash.
His five-year voyage on the HMS Beagle included only about five weeks on the Galápagos.
He married his first cousin, Emma Wedgwood, and they had ten kids.
Darwin loved beetle collecting — at one point he held three beetles at once using his mouth.
He did a lot of experiments in his own garden to study plants and worms.
He is buried in Westminster Abbey near Newton, which is an incredible scientific honour.
