Einstein played violin and loved classical music, especially Mozart. He used music to relax or clear his mind while working on difficult problems. He also enjoyed sailing, even though he wasn’t very good at it. Sometimes he would drift in the water just thinking about physics ideas. People around him said he cared more about thoughts than boats. Music and daydreaming were major parts of his creative life.
