RFK came from the famous Kennedy family, so he grew up around politics, ambition, and public service. He married Ethel Skakel in 1950, and together they had 11 children, which is pretty wild when you think about it. Even with his intense job, he tried to spend time with his kids and was known to play sports or take them sailing. Family meant everything to him, especially after losing his older brother, President John F. Kennedy. Those losses made him more protective and thoughtful about the world. A lot of his drive came from wanting to make things better for future generations. The Kennedy clan is still active in politics and public service today.
