RFK’s presidential campaign in 1968 felt different from normal politics, and that’s why people still talk about it. He travelled nonstop, spoke in poor neighbourhoods, and met people who felt ignored by the system. His speeches on inequality, war, and race hit hard because they sounded real, not rehearsed. Young voters, students, civil rights leaders, and working-class families rallied behind him. He wasn’t promising miracles — he was saying the country could do better if it chose compassion over violence. Even decades later, lots of people call that campaign one of the most emotional in U.S. history. It showed how much hope can change politics.
