Selena got her big break on Disney Channel when she starred as Alex Russo in “Wizards of Waverly Place.” The show was a huge hit, and her sarcastic, confident character made her a fan favourite. Before that, she appeared on “Barney & Friends” as a kid, so acting was in her life early. Disney opened the door to her music career and bigger roles. From there she started building her own brand, writing music, and getting cast in more mature projects. It was a slow climb, not an overnight jump.
