Selena grew up mainly with her mom, Mandy Teefey, who supported her acting career early. She has two younger half-sisters, Gracie and Victoria, and she talks about loving being a big sister. Her parents split when she was little, and that was tough on her emotionally. Later in life she grew closer to her extended family, especially as she slowed down from child-star chaos. Selena says family keeps her grounded more than fame ever could. She’s proud of her Mexican heritage from her dad’s side too.
