Ariana started acting and singing as a kid, doing local theatre and school shows. Her first big break came when she was cast on Nickelodeon. Most people expected her to stay in TV, but she had different plans. She began recording R&B-inspired music that surprised everyone because they were expecting pop-only tracks. Her debut album “Yours Truly” hit number one and immediately put her on the map. After that, it was album after album of success. She basically shifted from teen actor to global star in a couple of years.
