He originally wanted to play professional football and played for the University of Miami Hurricanes. He even won a national championship in 1991 before injuries slowed him down. After a short time in the Canadian Football League, he realized football wasn’t his path. That’s when he went into wrestling, following the footsteps of his dad and grandfather. WWE rebranded him as The Rock, and his charisma totally exploded. Fans loved him because he mixed humor, confidence, and trash talk in a fun way.
