Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, was born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California. He grew up in a wrestling family and moved around a lot as a kid. His dad, Rocky Johnson, was a famous professional wrestler, and his grandfather Peter Maivia was also a legend in the sport. Because of that background, he picked up discipline early in life. Even though he later became a Hollywood megastar, he often says his family roots shaped who he is. It’s why he’s still super close to his mom and daughters. Family is his anchor no matter how busy he is.
