Why do some people root against Djokovic?

Some tennis fans didn’t like Novak early on because he celebrated loudly or joked around in ways they thought were disrespectful. Others just backed Federer or Nadal, and Djokovic was the “new guy” trying to ruin their heroes’ legacies. Over time, though, many fans grew to admire how hard he fought for every win. The media sometimes paints him in a polarising way, which adds fuel to debates. Djokovic also speaks his mind, which not everyone likes. Still, he never backs down from pressure or public criticism. Today most fans respect his achievements, even if he’s not their favourite.
