How do you get to Coit Tower?

Getting to Coit Tower usually involves a bit of walking because it sits on top of a steep hill. Many visitors start from North Beach and walk up the Filbert Street steps, which are scenic but a workout. You can also drive part of the way, but parking is very limited near the top. Rideshare services can drop you closer, but you may still need to walk a short distance. Public transportation can get you into nearby neighborhoods, then you continue on foot. The walk itself is part of the experience since you pass gardens, houses, and city views along the way. Good shoes make the trip a lot easier.
