Is the Howard Frankland Bridge toll free?

Howard Frankland Bridge is currently a toll-free bridge for regular passenger vehicles. Drivers can cross between Tampa and St. Petersburg without paying a fee at the moment. This makes it different from some other bridges and express lanes in the region that do charge tolls. However, traffic management systems in the area can change over time, especially with highway upgrades. The bridge has been part of large construction projects, so driving patterns and lane setups have changed in recent years. Even though it’s free, congestion can sometimes feel like the real “cost” during peak hours. Most commuters still prefer it because it’s the most direct route across the bay.
