Torrance County is located at the very center of New Mexico. This remarkable county was named after Francis J. Torrance (1859 - 1919), the developer of the New Mexico Central Railroad. The county seat of Torrance County is Estancia. The county's area is 3,345 square miles. Established in 1903, today Torrance County is home to 15 thousand Americans.
