Morgan County is situated in the southeastern region of Ohio. This wonderful county was named after General Daniel Morgan (c. 1735 - 1802), a Revolutionary War officer. The area of Morgan County is about 417.66 square miles. The county, founded on Dec 29, 1817 from Washington, Guernsey, and Muskingum Counties, and it is populated today by 14 thousand residents.
