Campbell County is located on the northern border of Tennessee. This famous county is named after Virginia House of Burgesses member Arthur Campbell (1743–1811), who was a negotiator of Indian treaties. The county seat of Campbell County is Jacksboro. Formed in 1806, today Campbell County is home to 40 thousand residents.
