Can you live in Phoenix without air conditioning?

Technically yes, but practically… no way! Air conditioning isn’t a luxury here — it’s survival. During the summer, temperatures regularly stay above 100°F for weeks, and AC is your best friend. Most homes, businesses, and even public transport are fully air-conditioned. If your AC goes out in July, you’re in trouble — it’s that serious. Locals joke that the inside of your car becomes an oven if you park in the sun — and they’re not wrong.
