Getting around San Francisco without a car is totally doable. The city has a solid public transit network, including Muni buses, light rail lines, and iconic cable cars. Biking and walking are great options in flatter parts of the city, while rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available. If you're headed farther out, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) connects SF to nearby cities like Oakland and Berkeley. Parking is expensive and limited — many visitors choose to skip renting a car entirely.
