How safe is Jacksonville for tourists?

Like most big cities, Jacksonville has safe areas and a few rough patches. Tourist-friendly neighborhoods like the Beaches, Riverside, and San Marco are generally very safe and welcoming. Downtown is improving, especially around the Riverwalk and sports stadiums. Just use common sense, stay aware of your surroundings, and you’ll be good to go.
