Monument Circle is the literal and symbolic heart of downtown Indianapolis. At its center is the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, a towering structure honoring Indiana’s veterans. The area around the circle is lined with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. It’s a great place to relax, people-watch, or snap a photo of the skyline. During the holidays, it’s beautifully lit up with lights and decorations.
