Charlotte’s public transportation includes buses and the LYNX Blue Line light rail. The light rail is popular for commuting and sightseeing, especially between South End and Uptown. Bus routes cover much of the metro area, although they may not run as frequently outside of central zones. For those without a car, rideshares, scooters, and bike rentals are widely available. The system is expanding to become more commuter- and visitor-friendly over time.
