The Kentucky Derby Festival is a major series of events leading up to the Derby, including Thunder Over Louisville, one of the largest fireworks displays in North America. There's also the Forecastle music festival, which brings in big names every summer. Local street fairs, bourbon tastings, and food truck events are popular throughout the year. Louisville also hosts Juneteenth, Pride, and cultural heritage festivals that reflect its diverse population. There's usually something going on no matter the season.
