Ben Nevis was once an active volcano, which erupted around 350 million years ago.
The summit often sits above the clouds, offering spectacular views for lucky climbers.
It is estimated that over 125,000 people climb Ben Nevis each year.
In 1911, an observatory piano was carried up to the summit for a concert.
The mountain has a “pony track” built in the late 19th century to service the observatory.
Some extreme athletes have cycled, skied, and even run marathons involving Ben Nevis.
Despite its popularity, the weather on Ben Nevis is among the most unpredictable in the UK.
