Construction of the Spring Temple Buddha began in 1997 and was completed in 2008. The project took more than a decade due to its enormous size and complexity. Thousands of workers and engineers participated in the construction process. The statue is made of copper castings and steel framework, designed for durability and stability. It was built during a period of increased interest in cultural and religious landmarks in China. The site was officially opened to the public after completion. Since then, it has become a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims alike.
