When was Truist Park built?

Construction of Truist Park began in 2014 and was completed in time for the 2017 MLB season. The project was a collaboration between the Atlanta Braves, Cobb County, and private developers. The ballpark replaced Turner Field, which had been adapted from the 1996 Summer Olympics stadium. Truist Park was designed to be more intimate, modern, and convenient for fans. It officially opened on April 14, 2017, with a Braves victory over the San Diego Padres.
