Yosemite is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including black bears, mule deer, bobcats, coyotes, and over 260 species of birds. The park also has smaller mammals such as squirrels, marmots, and foxes. Its rivers and lakes provide habitats for fish like rainbow trout. The diverse ecosystems, ranging from lowland forests to alpine meadows, support this abundance of species. While wildlife sightings are common, visitors are advised to keep a safe distance and avoid feeding animals.
