When was the Statue of Unity inaugurated?

The Statue of Unity was inaugurated on October 31, 2018. This date was chosen to coincide with the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The inauguration ceremony was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Since then, it has become a prominent symbol of India’s unity and strength. Millions of visitors have traveled to see the statue since its opening.
