The Church of the Nativity is the most famous landmark, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby is Manger Square, the city’s lively center for events, markets, and celebrations. The Milk Grotto, believed to be where Mary nursed Jesus, is another spiritual site. Bethlehem is also home to vibrant souks, handicraft shops, and art galleries. The Shepherds’ Field in nearby Beit Sahour recalls the biblical story of shepherds visiting the newborn Jesus. Street art on the Separation Wall has also become a powerful modern attraction.
