When was High Line Park opened?

The first section of High Line Park opened in June 2009. The park was developed in phases, with the final section opening in 2014, completing its 1.45-mile stretch. The project was led by the non-profit Friends of the High Line in partnership with the city government. It converted a disused elevated railway into a green urban park. The opening was celebrated as a major urban revitalization success.
