Monaco is a tiny sovereign city-state located on the French Riviera in Western Europe. It is bordered by France on three sides and the Mediterranean Sea on the fourth. Covering just over 2 square kilometers (0.78 square miles), it is the second smallest country in the world after Vatican City. Despite its size, Monaco is highly urbanized with a skyline of luxury apartments and hotels. Its location and climate make it a prime destination for tourists and residents alike.
