The Patriot League kicked off with a thriller as No. 21/22 Monmouth scored a 42-39 win at Colgate. Raiders fan-favorite Treyvhon Saunders hauled in 13 catches for a whopping 223 yards and two touchdowns—but it wasn’t enough. Despite his stellar performance, Colgate couldn't hold the early lead, with Monmouth rallying with a 35–15 second-half surge. QB Zach Osborne was clutch, throwing for over 200 yards and two TDs, plus another 59 rushing yards. The game showed how one-sided comebacks and offensive fireworks define modern college football. Week one just raised the bar—and expectations—for both programs.
