What language do people speak in Myanmar?

The official language is Burmese, which is spoken by most people. In addition, there are over 100 ethnic languages spoken across the country. English is also used in business and schools, especially in Yangon. If you learn a few Burmese words like “mingalaba” (hello) or “chezu tin ba de” (thank you), locals will really appreciate it. The languages reflect Myanmar’s rich diversity.
