How big is the statue of Lincoln inside the memorial?

The statue of Abraham Lincoln is massive — it’s about 19 feet tall and 19 feet wide. If Lincoln were standing up, the statue would be around 28 feet tall! The sculpture was created by Daniel Chester French and carved from Georgia marble. Visitors are always surprised by the size when they first walk in, because it feels much larger than it looks in pictures.
