Americans don’t need a visa for Lithuania if the stay is under 90 days in a 180-day period. Lithuania is a Schengen country, so the same rules apply as with other EU Schengen states. A valid U.S. passport is required with at least three months left past your planned departure. If you want to work, study, or live there long-term, you’ll have to apply for a visa or permit. For short trips, it’s easy and visa-free.
